Moments

They come and go, flying about in your mind, moments you wish would last forever and others we try so hard to forget.

There’s something inexplicable about memories and their power. No matter good or bad, there are moments in our lives that have a hold, some too strong to defeat.

Your first kiss, your worst heartbreak, the day your child was born, moments where you felt seen and loved, the call that you got your dream job… moments that live on.

Oh, but what about those moments we lock in the darkest part of us? — always trying to force its way through.

What if we held onto the best moments of our lives while also holding moments of hardship and heartache? What if we allow ourselves to relive the moments we hate most? There would be more room for ones that wrap around us, filling our body and soul with warmth and gratitude.

When we evenly hold onto all the moments, there is this great sense of peace. Once we are able to recognize what we try so hard to forget, we can move forward because that memory does not have to hide, we must choose to see it, feel it, and leave it.

Don’t be afraid to relive your memories with an open heart — always making room for the next big moment.
